Indian Universities in QS World Ranking 2020-21: World University’s ranking 2020-21 list has been released. In QS World University Rankings 2020-21, 21 Indian universities have got a place in the top 1000 universities of the world.
Let us tell you that 3 universities of India have been successful in making it to the top 200 universities in the list of QS world rankings 2021. 3 universities of India are named in the “QS World University Rankings 2021” which have been ranked in the top 200 universities – IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IISc Bangalore.
In the QS World University Rankings, IIT Bombay has been ranked 172, IIT Delhi has been ranked 185 and IISc Bangalore has been ranked 193.
IIT Bombay has lost 20 places against its last year’s World University Ranking performance. The same IISC Bangalore has lost one place and IIT Delhi has gone down by 11 places.
IIT Guwahati has managed to improve its ranking. IIT Guwahati got 470th rank this year as compared to last year. This is the best ranking of IIT Guwahati till date. IIT Guwahati has improved its ranking by 21 places as compared to last year. IIT Guwahati was ranked 491 in World University Ranking 2019-20.
The QS company which released the QS World Universities Ranking 2020-21 said that the ranking of Indian universities has gone down slightly this year. The reason for this is that now universities around the world are doing many things to improve their rankings. Therefore, this has happened due to increasing competition.
The company’s official statement also said that Indian educational institutes perform much better in the field of research. The reasons for lagging behind in the ranking of Indian educational institutions are -international student, Ratio between students and faculty, International Faculty.
Union Minister of Human Resource Development “Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank” said that educational institutions which have got place in the QS World University Rankings 2021 have raised the honor of the country. Union Minister Dr Ramesh has given best wishes to all the educational institutions that have made the place in World University Ranking 2021.
IIT Bombay World University Ranking is the best performing university in the country in 2021.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT – America) has been ranked number one in QS World Universities Ranking 2020-21.
