विशेष टिप्स (Tips for Using Past Continuous Tense)
Was/Were का उपयोग:
Subject के अनुसार सहायक क्रिया चुनें: “was” (I, He, She, It), “were” (You, We, They).
उदाहरण: He was running, They were running.
“ing” की वर्तनी:
Verb में “ing” जोड़ते समय spelling rules का ध्यान रखें।
उदाहरण: run → running, write → writing, lie → lying.
हिंदी में लिंग और वचन:
हिंदी में “रहा/रही/रहे” Subject के लिंग और वचन के अनुसार बदलता है।
उदाहरण: मैं जा रहा था (पुल्लिंग) / मैं जा रही थी (स्त्रीलिंग) / हम जा रहे थे (बहुवचन).
Simple Past के साथ संयोजन:
Past Continuous लंबे समय तक चल रहे कार्य के लिए, Simple Past बाधित करने वाली छोटी घटना के लिए।

गैर-निरंतर Verbs:
भावनाएँ, अवस्थाएँ, या मानसिक स्थिति दर्शाने वाले verbs (जैसे know, love, want) इस Tense में नहीं आते।
गलत: I was knowing him. सही: I knew him.
समय सूचक शब्द:
at 5 PM, yesterday evening, when, while, all day आदि Past Continuous को स्पष्ट करते हैं.
